Job Description
An IT Developer job is available with our client, a data analytics firm, located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a hybrid, contract role.The IT Developer will be responsible for the development, design and implementation of new or modified software products or ongoing business projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Working closely with other developers, designers, business and systems analysts • Develop applications.
- Provide guidance on industry best practices, guidelines and governance for web applications and web sites.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure end product is delivered with quality outcomes.
- Perform benefit analysis for IT solutions and make recommendations for technology direction.
- Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs • Testing and evaluating new programs.
- Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications.
- Writing and implementing efficient code.
- Determining operational practicality.
- Developing quality assurance procedures.
- Deploying software tools, processes and metrics.
- Maintaining and upgrading existing systems.
Qualifications:
- Technical Degree or related discipline.
- Experience in designing and building applications in various languages.
- In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools.
