Job Description

A Production Support Consulting role is available at our client, a NYC based investment bank.  This is a Hybrid Work model and candidates need to live locally to be able to commute to the office.


Reporting into Americas lead for Global Risk and Shared Product Support in Wholesale Production Services, this is a high profile and critical support role, in a pressurized environment and demands an individual with flexibility, acumen and the ability to assimilate lots of information quickly, with focus on Incident and Problem Management.

The role requires a highly motivated individual to provide technical support using standardized practices, a set of support tools for Global Risk Platforms users as stated below:

  • First point of contact for all support queries, collaborates with business users to analyze reported issues, perform technical analysis and resolves complex user queries in a timely manner.
  • Adopt best practices and ability to demonstrate best-practice.
  • Review service availability, performance and stability and proactively identify service trends and taking the appropriate actions to resolve service-related issues.
  • Ability to involve the correct resources to address any issues.
  • Establish strong collaborative relationships between Production Services and Application development teams, the business, as well as Infrastructure and other functional groups.
  • Diligence in maintaining ITIL Service Management processes, procedures and work instructions, monitoring compliance to them and undertaking continual improvements as required.
  • Ensure software or hardware changes do not impact application service levels.
  • The role requires a strong, dedicated team player with leadership skills.
  • The role requires weekend & holiday support related activities on rotation basis.




  • IT Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes experience
  • Application management improvement processes and support practice experience.
  • Experience managing transitional changes to large and complex systems.
  • Hands on Unix/Linux skills including ability to understand and write Shell/Perl/Python scripting.
  • Must have hands on technical support experience in Database – Sybase/SQL Server/Oracle.

  • Good knowledge of Autosys setup and configuration.
  • Working knowledge of Java, Informatica, SSIS packages will be a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Risk, Fixed Income Trading or Position Management Systems will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure or similar) is a plus.
  • Understanding of Agile practices and principles is a plus.
  • AWS Practitioner Certification or similar is a plus.
  • Full understanding of ITIL.

  • Knowledge and experience in IT automation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range: $70 - $85 hourly
