React Developer

Job Description

A full-time React Web Developer job is available with our client, an award-winning provider of high-performance FX Trading solutions. This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be located within Eastern United States.



The role will suit an experienced React developer with a solid understanding of low-latency, reactive UI’s. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of modern web technologies, especially React, and TypeScript, in a high-performance environment, in addition to some familiarity working with Java-based server-side applications. The client is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated technologist to join the team and help build out the web facing aspects of their product. The successful candidate will be joining a fast paced, Agile team, who share responsibility for all aspects of the software lifecycle.  



DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Help build out the next generation of client’s leading FX Trading platform. 
  

• 5+ years with relevant professional experience. 
  
• Advanced Web Application experience with modern front-end web technologies, ideally React 16+. 
  
• A strong understanding of Typescript. 
  
• A solid understanding of real-time messaging on the Web, including low level protocol and API design. 
  
• Exposure to the following would be advantageous: Redux, RxJS and Websockets. 
  
• Knowledge and experience of financial trading systems. 
  
• Knowledge of Java is preferred. 
  
• Knowledge of SQL is preferred. 
  
• Passion for UX and Interaction design. 
  
• Strong communication skills. 
  

• Relevant academic qualifications, including a college degree in computer science or equivalent
