Job Description

A Sr. AWS Cloud Backend Java Developer job is available with our client, a major global exchange, located in Philly. This is a hybrid, contract role.

Please Note: Candidates MUST be Aegistech’s W2.

THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement data normalization and ingestion solutions in AWS using S3, Postgres, Java, Kubernetes and Unix Utilities
  
• Define a strategy for data flows to meet the requirements of the client’s Back Office application
  
• Ability to explain technical solutions and issues to non-technical customers
  

THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE ROLE:

• 5-8 years development experience required
  
• Java experience using Object-Oriented software development, Spring Boot, Microservices
  
• AWS development experience and certifications using S3, Postgres, Java, Kubernetes and Unix utilities
  
• SQL Server or PostgreSQL database experience
  
• CI-CD Knowledge
  
• Kafka
  
• Kubernetes
  
• Unix Commands and basic shell scripting
  
• Strong analytical skills for complex and creative problem solving
  
• Automated testing
  
• Excellent customer service skills
  
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work closely with team members
  
• A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
