Job Description

Systems Operations Administrator job is available with our client, a major global exchange, located in NYC. This is a hybrid, W2 contract role.

Please Note: Candidates MUST be Aegistech's W2 (no Corp to Corp).

The candidate will be responsible for Daily Technical Operations including Application Management and Support for all client provided services. This includes 24/7 Technical Operations and Application Support, managing Incidents for both internal and external customers, installing application updates and maintaining operational documentation and procedures.


  • Under direct supervision, configures, installs, maintains and upgrades computer systems hardware and software.
  • Under direct supervision, administers and maintains security of operating systems following established policies and procedures.
  • Under direct supervision, provides operational support for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment, such as servers, desktops, printers and storage devices.
  • Performs recovery procedures, and monitors batch processes in accordance with established procedure.



  • Conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within a discipline.
  • Guidance on task initially and requires supervision.
  • Is working in a smaller defined area of the role, this continues to expand as the employee gains more confidence and capability.


  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Often needs help understanding the commercial side or key business drivers impacting the task/decision.

  • ANALYTICAL THINKING: Collects basic information needed to analyze a problem, situation or issue. Performs routine or basic data analysis, following the correct steps and using the appropriate tools, seeking guidance when necessary. Develops an understanding of how to analyze data and identify the implications of various courses of action.
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Tracks and monitors simple projects; adheres to project deadlines and alerts management of any barriers to successful project completion.   • TROUBLESHOOTING/TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Document basic problems and steps necessary to implement the solution. Applies basic solutions to problems. Collects information to analyze basic problems and identifies origin.
  • END-USER CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Begins to develop rapport and relationships with customers by actively listening, resolving issues, recognizing when customers are dissatisfied, and ensuring needs have been addressed.
  • IT OPERATIONS AND ANALYSIS: Follows standard procedures and processes to perform basic IT operations analyses, requesting assistance as needed.


  • Degree qualified in Computer Science, MIS or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
